Updates - December 2025

Oh, hey! :)

It sure has been a while, hasn’t it?

I can’t believe I have not written to you all year.

Actually, I can. It’s been a whirlwind to be honest. 2025 has been a very challenging year for me personally, and has stretched and tested all of my wellness habits to stay flowcused :D

Since having a baby (he’s now 2!!), sleep deprivation has taken a hold of me for most of his life so far. It’s been challenging, on top of also caring for my now 10-year old daughter in full pre-teen moods, requiring additional emotional support plus strengthening my marriage as we navigate challenging times and balance life, work, activity schedules, church community and parenthood together.

I wanted to take a moment to lean into gratefulness and celebrate with you, as well as share some upcoming news.

5-year anniversary - fueled by plants cookbook!

Can you imagine? 5 years ago this December, I published my Fueled by Pants cookbook both through my website and Amazon! Since then, many of you have shared how much you enjoy these recipes, and some have become your go-to favorites. This warms my heart so much! Helping people add more plants to their day to day is one of my core missions – to infuse vitality and energy into showing up as your best self.

My Treasured Health Manifesto

My Treasured Health is a commitment to taking care of t he most precious treasure we have on earth… our health. By being Fueled by Plants, Fueled by Perspective and Fueled by Prayer, the 3 facets to guide your journey to health help you find your daily flow for body, mind and spirit. By considering these three facets, and incorporating wellness habits to your day to day, you CAN show up as your best self at home, at work and in your community.

FUELED BY PERSPECTIVE

A while back, I had shared a free download for my Fueled by Perspective intention and reflection journal templates” which is still available on my website. I was getting frustrated with having to print a new set every couple of weeks and dreamed of a printed journal that would last me a few months. Well, after jumping through many hoops and facing challenging technical glitches, putting it aside, picking it back up again (several times =D), enlisting the help of my graphic designer friend the fabulous Jennifer Pfitzer, the print version of my “Fueled by Perspective intention and reflection journal” is now available on Amazon!!

This alone is a story of perseverance trough obstacles. It is special to me because it not only provides you with a wellness guide to anchor the beginning and end of your day, it also contains beautiful photography snapped by my husband to inspire your week. I hope you love it as much as I do!!

I'm giving away a copy of Fueled by Perspective to one of you - enter below by December 17, 2025!

And finally: My Treasured Health trilogy completed

What would be plant and perspective fuel without the facet that weaves it all together? Prayer!!

I am so pleased to also announce that my "Fueled by Prayer guide and journal” is now available for purchase on Amazon! This came together so beautifully, as I’ve been helping people learn how to pray the Word and return to a meditative practice based on the Holy Bible.

In my difficult seasons, being fueled by plants, fueled by perspective and fueled by prayer have helped me nourish my body, mind and spirit, and tune into what is good. I suppose in a big way, I’ve created the resources not just for you, but for myself too.

What else I've been up to this year:

Between making comforting meals, cleaning up the kitchen after my daughter’s creatively delicious cooking experiments and nature walks at lunch, I’ve been:

- Growing kale as always (and it's still going even into this cold!)

- Setting up some really insightful and practical learning opportunities for leaders in my workplace (I'm so blessed!)

- Trying new strategies for the kids to sleep better (send me your tips!),

- Preparing natural immune boosters for the cold and flu season ahead (I’m fully stocked up and already using them!)

- Leading “Breathing Nest” activities through my church (it’s amazing what a safe space inviting people to breathe better and deeper can do!)

- Taking speed skating lessons (it’s so fun and something I’ve always wanted to do!)

- Reading so many amazing books I wish I could make it my full-time job =D

- Presenting sermons and other speaking engagements (I absolutely love connecting with an audience and having God speak through me this way!)

- Becoming an “ad actress” (because my friends building an amazing AI platform for clinics love my energy and it seems I am a natural!)

- Developing better communication rhythms with my family (bringing the flowcus concepts close to home ;)

Setting and sharing goals

When I visited Japan through a Lean Study Tour with Katie Anderson in May 2023, she gifted participants with these large red Daruma dolls. A Daruma is a Japanese weighted paper doll that represents persistence through achieving your goals. The idea is that you color in the left eye as you set your goal, and once you’ve successfully achieved your goal, you color in the right eye. The dolls are weighted to remind you to bounce back up when adversity strikes and obstacles get in the way of reaching your goals – if you were to push it, it would come right back up to its standing position!

The Japanese use the proverb “fall seven times, get back eight”, which reminds me of Proverbs 24:16 “For a just person falls seven times, and rises up again”.

This is a reminder to keep rising, and with God’s strength, anything is possible!

The Darumas are a visual reminder of the intentions set, as well as the persistence and resilience required to achieve a goal. When I got this large Daruma in May 2023, I knew exactly what goal it was perfect to represent, but I wasn’t ready to share it broadly. This goal had been kept in my heart for so many years, and part of me may have been afraid of the changes it would bring in my life, or perhaps I wanted to cherish the vision that God had given me back in 2015, when I was on maternity leave with my daughter.

Now, I have finally drawn in the left eye of my large Daruma doll! I’ve also drawn in the left eye of the medium blue Daruma doll that I purchased on that same trip to Japan. Two goals, two visual reminders of what is to come.

You’re still wondering what the goals are? Sorry to keep you waiting!

The large red Daruma represents a vision that God planted in my heart in moments of deep overwhelm. You see, I was already a step-mom when my daughter was born, but nothing prepared me for the challenges of babyhood, and the changes it brings! I’ve struggled, as I know many other moms (and dads!) also do, to create rhythms of rest and refueling. I longed for a quiet place where I could go rest, even for a few hours, and come back to my home and family refreshed, ready to take on the demands of motherhood.

The WELLNEST

Enter: the idea of The WellNest.

A space for moms to rest, refuel and reconnect.

A physical space, surrounded by God’s natural creation, where moms can be rooted in calm, even for just a few hours at a time - imagine a cozy cabin nook nestled in a forest, a hiking trail and prayer walk, the sound of birds chirping and the scent of flowers permeating all around. A serene sanctuary for mothers to breathe, grow and be gently held by the rhythms of the natural world, rediscovering their inner vitality and ready to tackle on whatever challenges await them at home.

I’ve learned over the years of always trying to do too much that everything flows better when you prioritize rest, refuel and reconnection. So I am ready to share my goal with you, and I hope you cherish it and pray over it continually. If you feel inspired to support in any way, reach out anytime! I’d love to hear your thoughts.

My family and I are looking to move to the countryside, with many acres of land to materialize the vision, likely around Beckwith or Carleton Place (Ontario), and we’re excited to see where and how God leads!

Jesus said “Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

My prayer is that each mom gets to experience this rest in their life.

The second goal

If you're still reading, thank you! It means a lot to me.

The second goal is also something that I’m very passionate about: leadership!

My two passions of leadership and wellness continue to co-exist and weave into each other. I’ve been holding a goal to write a leadership book for quite some time as well, ever since becoming a leadership and continuous improvement coach in 2019! As I continue to coach, learn and explore, I realize that most people are not taught how to be a great leader. Especially in a government/public service environment in which I work, most get promoted because they are great at their job and just do the best they can with what they’ve experienced – adopting the good leadership practices and staying away from the bad ones that have made them feel not so great. Sometimes, the “bad” leadership practices still trickle in however, through a strong culture of command and control, rush and lack of clarity.

I’ve discovered that I have a passion – and ability to make things practical – to help managers shift from doing the work to taking care of the people who do the work. My book will inspire, equip and develop new leaders to create a LeaderShift and become intentional, people-centered leaders, leading and living with intention in all areas of their lives.

I'm thrilled to walk in the footsteps of so many of my inspiring leadership, learning and continuous improvement mentors such as Karyn Ross, Katie Anderson, and my latest read by my fellow Japan-tripper, Julie Savage-Fournier!

You can hold me to it: God willing, I plan to accomplish these two BIG goals by the end of 2027!

Until then, stay tuned for updates here and there, connect with me anytime, and check out my new books!

They’ll make a great Christmas gift for your loved ones 😉

Blessings, peace & greens,

Stéfany
